SLEDDING, SNOW ANGELS & A SNOWMAN

We have our own little winter wonderland here in Eagle Mountain, and the kids love it. Well, Chase does. Izzy just kind of likes it. She will walk around delicately, finding the easiest path, while giving a death grip to my hand to make sure she doesn't fall. Chase, however, can't get enough of it. He tromps around in it, shouting & singing, & from time to time will toss himself in the snow to make an army of snow angels. He picks up any random snow or ice & starts chomping away at it. Which makes me nervous, because he doesn't have the best screening skills- white, brown, yellow snow... it's all the same. (just kidding. slightly)

By the way, our little Chase, formerly known as toddler, is now, I have to admit... a big boy. (Quite a lot of commas in that sentence.) He does not need me to sled down the hill with him anymore. He does it all by himself. I was stunned when announced to me that he wanted to do it by himself. And even more stunned when he did it, fearlessly, and then proceeded to trudge up the big hill by himself & do it all over again. When did this happen? How did my little Chase Monster become a big Chase monster? Where did this independence come from? And how do I STOP IT?? (Ok, sorry. Freak out over. ... not really)

Our snowman with 2 extra arms. The best snowman in the neighborhood. The best snowman in the WORLD, actually.
