Before you get excited, ask me why.
For my speed? Not so much.
My good looks? Possible, but unlikely. ;)
Best dressed? Definitely not. (If you look closely, I am wearing Hannah Montana pants, not becuase I'm a fan, but becuase I was shopping in the wrong section at Walmart.)
The truth...? Because there were only 5 of us in my category. In truth, I was one of the last people to finish. But, I put it on power-speed at the last minute and zoomed past the last 2 women right before the finish line! It was funny. But, hey, if they couldn't handle the speed, it's not my fault.
After longs months of training (well... 2. I don't know if that's long. It felt long some mornings at 5:45 am.), I made it to the finish line!
Here we are crossing the finish line. Well, ok, reenacting it anyways. In place of my big goofy grin, imagine a sweat-drenched, pain-filled face.
I got a medal & plaque! I was very excited about that.

Way to go, Stacey! It's fun to win, no matter what the circumstances.
