So here are the before, during, & after shots. Chase was content through the whole thing because he had a lollipop. We must not give him much candy, cause when we do, nothing else troubles this little man.
It sounds like Chase did great. I think sometimes these things are harder on the parents. I helped cut my sister Heather's little boy's hair for the first time, and she burst into tears. It was hard to let go of that babiness. After about a week though, she was feeling embarassed for how long it was getting.
"Ow, Chase. I'm not a big girl, I'm just a little girl. Be careful with me."
"The cows are almost happy, because I almost drank all my milk!"
My mom was helping wipe Chase's nose, commenting that he had a lot of good boogers. Izzy pipes in, "I'll go get you a tissue so I can show you my good boogers."
"You didn't catch any fish, Tia? Well, you have to look at the orange thing (the bobber), and.. and when it goes under, you... um.. pull it up super fast! That's how you catch a fish!" (Izzy caught 6 fish that day, so she felt she had the expertise here.)
"Mama, you're my little sweetheart."
"If I can't go to a friend's house, then YOU can't go to the temple."
"These oranges taste like soup."
"I don't like this wonderful day."
"I like walnuts. And I like Walmart."
"I love my small little baby." (Gabriella)
"You're a silly little buggy, Papa."
"Mama, I just want it to be Valentine's day so I can have some love."
"I smell something yummy. Mama, will you follow my nose?"
"Mama, you need to stop making me eat this yummy food."
"There's soap in the potty. I didn't do it! The counter did it."
"NO. I wont and I won't and I WON'T."
CHASE QUOTES
"This is fanTAStic!!"
"My little cheeky girl."
"Mama, I don't want you to be sick, my little sweetheart."
"I will tell Izzy to make a big trap for you to get STUCK in." (angry)
"My bones aren't feeling strong. I need to drink milk and take a good nap."
"Mama, come on. Gimme a hug."
"I will ask Santa if he can make a Spiderman movie that's not scary."
"Mama, I have a surprise for you. I have hiccups!!"
"Mama, your legs are scruffy!"
Mama: "Can I have your thumb?"
Chase: "Nooo. I Need it."
Mama: "Well, can I have your nose?"
Chase: (after thinking it over for a few seconds)..."ok. but it's dirty." (with his big teethy grin)
