I am kind of considering reopening my facebook account, just so that I can put random status changes. That way I don't have to answer that "How ARE you" question with a head tilt. I will simply answer: consult facebook page.
- Day 3 of pre-deployment & I already want to lock my kids in the basement. Not sure they're gonna survive this...
- I just gave the kids the entire container of bath colors so that I could finish my episode of Modern Family
- Set the fire alarm off cooking dinner. Proud moment.
-I've officially become a chicken nugget mom. Hamburger helper is the closest we get to ingredient cooking these days
- I am getting quite good at crafts for kids. That's our life now: crafts & chicken nuggets.
-Impulsively bought a boat
- My new thing: singing Dixie Chicks at the top of my lungs. Earl's gotta die. Kids think I'm crazy.
-Kids' new hobby: feeding Gabriella. My baby's gonna be so fat.
-Has anyone ever heard of a self-cleaning toilet? Cause I'm considering dipping into saving to hire a maid.
-I'm paying $45 for Izzy to watch other kids learn how to swim.
- I'm having a hard time coping with the fact that I missed the Harry Potter midnight showing. I might need some counseling on this one.
-My kids won't stop doing crafts so that we can eat dinner. When is bedtime again?
-Izzy's eating baby food & I'm too lazy to stop it.

I love you, and know you are going to do GREAT this year. Your kids will survive. But I won't tell anyone if you want to lock them in the basement now and then...that's why I have a crawl space in my house. ;)
There are other quick fix options- hot dogs, hot dogs and baked beans, corndogs. . .oh, and PF Changs makes excellent frozen skillets now! We also do frozen burritos when Daddy is gone- and when he's home . . .
You SHOULD reopen your FB. It's another window into the outside world I consider healthy for all stay-at-home moms.
You and the kids will survive the DD's (deplolyment days). Admit it- it's nice to have a legitimate excuse to lock your kids in the basement. When Tate is home you'll still want to sometimes, but wont have such a good excuse.
I probably think about hiring a maid every single day. Problem is, I really like buying fastfood while Scott is gone- so there goes our maid money. Dirty house, happy tummy . . . life is a compromise!
