WINTER WONDERLAND

We spent Christmas in North Dakota this year. Brrrr. It was freezing, but nice. Lola & Papo's house was beautiful. Christmas trees on every level! Despite the frostbite, North Dakota does have its perks. For example, if your drink isn't cold enough, you just put it outside for a few minutes & it will be icy cold. Sledding. And the snow really is beautiful... if you stay indoors. If you're in a nice roasty-toasty home, the cold isn't so bad. But step outside and it is SO cold your nose hairs will freeze. Anyways, Christmas came and went, Santa visited, and we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest! Family time, presents, ornaments and cookies, good food & lots of fun. What a wonderful year!

Yes, this is crazy Papo grilling in BELOW freezing temperatures. THAT is a true griller.
Our little animal lover could not get enough of these birds. I guess she takes after the grown up animal lover.

Papo & little Izzy sledding. He was pulling her like a little rag doll. I was expecting her to roll off at any moment and go sliding through the parking lot...

Tia Tricia was so great with the kids. We're thinking about hiring her full time when we move back to Utah. She just doesn't know that yet.

We took Jason out for ice cream (of all things. I hadn't had Cold Stone in so long though. I couldn't resist) after his awesome Jazz band performance. Man of the hour.
